Thanks for this post. This is one of the few places I’ve found where there is ANY information on how to use feedburner to allow subscribers to subscribe to individual posts. Can you expand on Step six a bit? The feedburner help and forums seem to imply that you either have to subscribe to all the comments or none of them. Can you give a code example or point me to a plugin? I’d like to give readers the option to subscribe to just the posts they are interested in through feedburner. Thanks in advance!

      Hi Rob,

I’ve never done that but a quick search in Google points me to:
      http://interfacelab.com/feedburner-wp-plugin-fix/
Try it pls report here back if it works. Your question is interesting, so if you make it just point me on how you did it.

      best!

Thanks for the quick reply Georgi. That plugin references the Feedburner Feedsmith plugin. That plugin and the others I’ve seen allow you to subscribe to ‘all’ the comments through feedburner, but not single post comments.

I’m currently using the ‘Subscribe to Comments Reloaded’ plugin so my readers can subscribe to specific post comments but this plugin uses WordPress and the DB to manage subscriptions, not feedburner.. FYI, I’m avoiding using the subscription feature in WordPress’ Jetpack since that gives you no control over subscriptions and also sends out entire posts if readers subscribe to your blog through it (they never have to visit your site).

I’m still looking for a complete subscription solution but for now it looks like I’ll have to work with a piecemeal approach.

        Thanks again,

        Rob

          Hi Rob,

Thx for the info. I’ll try to look for a solution on feedburner category submit problem. When I have time. How this can be achieved is pretty intriguing.

          Best
