Have you tried to update the firmware of the phone (somewhere in settings phone menu) to the newest version and install Nokia’s Ovi Store? I think you can download native Symbian version of Skype from there.

You can use https://search.disconnect.me/ . And you can add it in your search bar in Preferences-Search you will need to add more search engines and find DisconnectSearch and then select it as your default search engine.
