Comment on My 17 years old, first in line Cousin Stanislav died in a motorcycle accident 🙁 by admin.

Hi you’re not bothering me at all! Nice to have an orthodox brother in Christ here.
He was baptized in an orthodox church, I don’t know if he has taken the sacraments ever after the day of baptizmal.
It’s a very sad practice here in Bulgaria that most people, doesn’t really practice there Orthodox faith …
I myself am trying to be a regular as possible for the Holy Liturgies and take the sacraments to stay in communion.
I’m right back from the Funeral, it was really sad funeral. His mother has a birthday today and what is even worser here in Bulgaria we say that the 1st April is the day of the “lie”. People tend to make pranks to celebrate the 1st of April celebration. What is even more painful for the family is that Stanislav was supposed to have a birthday this month on twenteeth of April…
At least the good think was that there was a ‘panahida’ (a burial funeral) in the Orthodox Temple nearby the city graveyeard.
Let God forgive my dear cousin Stanislav.
And as the priest say let’s hope he will find grace in front of God to pray for us that we’re in the earthly Church.

We don’t have a Bulgarian ruler called Asan, Asan is a typical Turkish name. Probably you mean our great ruler Tzar Asen I or King Asen II (The Ruler of the Second Bulgarian Empire).
I think it’s not possible that saint apostle Andrew has lived in the time of King Asen. King Asen lived he ruled in the years (1218-1241.
In our bulgarian history we don’t have any reference for a Roman Bulgarian empire, but this is not important.
I’ve also heard about st. Apostle Andrew’s cave in Romania. I think one of the priests that is a confessor of mine has been to this celebration. He brought back облачение (a small piece of paper touched to a saint remains).

That’s a very beautiful Church. Also it’s wonderful you have been baptized in a monastery. It’s a true blessing. I’ve been baptized in Saint George’s Church here in Dobrich.

The Church is from the 18th century and is consecrated by the Metropolitan of Varna.

Big Church Scandal in the Bulgarian Orthodox Church the developments on how the Church basic law Establishment document is illegally broken and hope and action for truth to be restored

What is rather fun is during the anti-protest organized by Metropolitan Nikolay (with people only from the Plovdiv eparchy just like in the good old times of communism was financed by the unwilling people to go to the event). It was lied that the reason for Nikolay people to protest is because this is a protest in front of the Synod against the accepting of gay marriages (what a lie !!!). Besides that there is a many people from village called Krepost (if not mistaken the village) who were (protestants!) and came to protest in favour of the new anti people legislation (even though not orthodox christians), because they were mislead the protests are against the gays!

Metropolitan Nikolay has publicly asked priests in his eparchy to sign a document they're going to be present on the protests that should support the New Synodal "order". Those who were unwilling to cooperate of course can always be sent by their Metropolitan to a very distant village or even taken away their profession as priests so there was a lot of pressure put on those people.

Christ is Risen Eastern Orthodox Resurrection Paschal Greeting in Different Languages
Hi Stan,

I guess you cannot read the writtings on the icon as it is in cyrillic.
This is not Saint Mary and Saint Peter but Adam and Eve written in cyrillic on top of the icon.
Actually in orthodoxy it is a requirement for the depicted personalities, especially saints to have
written on the names of the saint and have the Halo. If you look closely at the picture you will notice
the two Adam and Eve are missing a Halo. The only person with a Halo in the icon is Saint John the Baptist.

Best Regards
Georgi
